MAHANE YEHUDA MARKET

of the city, between Yaffo (Jaffa) Street and Agripas Street, in MAHANE
YEHUDA neighborhood.
The neighborhood was founded in the year 1887
by Sephardim Jews; MAHANE YEHUDA Market was founded in the 20s.
The market has hundreds of shops and stands, and
many people come to shop there, especially at the end of the week: on Thursday
and Friday. The market streets are called by names of fruit: Apple
Street, Nut Street, Plum Street, and more.
In the market and near it are ZOHOREI CHAMA synagogue,
ETZ CHAYIM yeshiva, and the MAHANE YEHUDA police station.
